Overland Park Lawn Care | KC Lawn Care – Lawn Treatment Schedule
Our recommended lawn care program consists of 7 treatments timed perfectly throughout the year to give you the best lawn. All of our treatments include broadleaf weed control as needed.
- Round 1, Early Spring – Applied in March or April. This is your lawn’s “Wake up!” call. This is a high quality granular fertilizer to help bring the lawn out of winter dormancy.
- Round 2, Late Spring – Applied in April or May. Time for crabgrass prevention and dandelion killer. Our only liquid application also contains fertilizer to keep the lawn green and healthy.
- Round 3, Early Summer – Applied in May or June. This granular fertilizer treatment is the lawns last chance for food before the summer heat hits. A slow release fertilizer, this treatment will help get the lawn through the toughest part of the year.
- Round 3A, Grub Control – Applied the same day as the early summer treatment. This treatment guarantees season long control of grub worms, as well as some other surface feeding insects. This treatment can only be offered at the regular treatment cost, if applied with Round 3.
- Round 4, Summer Treatment – Applied in July or August. We provide a complete lawn inspection to make sure you are not having a grub problem. We also spray any lingering broadleaf weeds and nut grass.
- Round 5, Early Fall – Applied September or October. Summer is over and the lawn needs to be fed. Our heaviest fertilizer treatment will help the lawn “bounce back” from a tough summer.
- Round 6, Winterizer – Applied November or December. Time to put the lawn to bed for the winter, this quick release granular lawn fertilizer will be absorbed quickly by the lawn for a healthy winter. It will also provide for a super quick green up next spring.
